The Platypus's Secret Weapon

Did you know that under that cute duck/beaver/otter thing is a lethal weapon that could kill just about anything? Yes that's right, the Platypus isn't as cute and cuddly as you thought. This guy has a razor sharp venomous nail on his hind legs. Males have them for ever while females shed them at three months so if you wanted a pet Platypus you should get a female (it would still be a bad thing to have a Platypus owner since they're meant to live in the wild). Males use these weapons during mating season... but they are still lethal. They venom could easily kill a cat or dog with one sting! Take a look at this video.
